Mini Biografia
Mi occupo di fotografia, pittura, grafica, illustrazione e arredamento. Sono nata e cresciuta a la Spezia, dove ancora oggi vivo e lavoro e mi sono formata attraverso studi artistici compiuti tra Carrara, dove ho frequentato Liceo artistico ed Accademia di Belle Arti, e Firenze, città nella quale ho conseguito un diploma in grafica e fotografia. Per quanto riguarda quest'ultima ho partecipato a diversi workshop tenuti da fotografi di fama mondiale quali Franco Fontana e Lucien Clergue. Ho frequentato, con conseguimento di relativi diplomi, vari corsi di studio che vanno dalla Grafica editoriale alla PNL. Ho lavorato per più di vent’anni come Art Director presso note agenzie pubblicitarie del paese dedicandomi collateralmente all’arte, mia grande passione sin dall’infanzia. Da sempre mi muovo nel campo della pittura e della grafica ma negli ultimi anni i miei sforzi creativi sono stati dedicati soprattutto alla fotografia. Ho partecipato a varie mostre ed eventi artistici sia nazionali che internazionali- L'ultima mia partecipazione importante è del 2017 alla mostra " Fin ché la barca va", svoltasi nell'ambito del circuito off della BIENNALE D'ARTE DI VENEZIA. In verità non posso considerarmi solo una fotografa nel senso stretto del termine, mi definirei piuttosto un' artista visuale in quanto uso la fotografia come una tela sulla quale realizzare quelli che amo definire "Dipinti fotografici" utilizzando varie tecniche digitali. Nei miei lavori esprimo decisamente la mia cultura artistico-pittorica in quanto vado alla ricerca di soluzioni che hanno più a vedere con la pittura che non con la fotografia, anche se il mezzo che uso è la fotocamera. Molte delle mie opere rimandano ai lavori dei pittori surrealisti, ad alcuni autori della pop art ma anche ad artisti del passato più remoto, in particolare Caravaggio. Creo immagini ai limiti del sogno, viaggi attraverso luoghi di luci e d'ombre, verso un mondo lontano, compenetrazioni tra l'essere umano e la natura che si saldano in un'unica forma ed energia, sono immagini visionarie di un mondo insolito ma non alieno, un mondo ai confini della realtà che potremmo trovare dietro l'angolo di casa, un mondo che va oltre l'apparenza. QUANDO GUARDO L’ ESSERE UMANO E LA NATURA CERCO DI COGLIERNE L’ENERGIA PROFONDA E LA MAGIA E CIO’ CHE RAPPRESENTO NE E’ L’ESSENZA. Un altro punto della mia ricerca è individuabile nel concetto di dualità , riferito anche all’eterna lotta fra bene e male, fra ciò che siamo e ciò che vorremmo essere , alla spesso non facile relazione fra corpo e anima, fra individuo e società.
Infine direi che mio desiderio è che le opere da me create siano veramente e totalmente mie, infatti per la realizzazione dei miei lavori fotografici mi occupo, oltre che dell'elaborazione digitale, della scenografia e della location e molto spesso svolgo anche il ruolo di modella, come si evince dai molti autoscatti che ho realizzato e realizzo tutt'ora.
Mini Biography
I deal with photography, painting, graphics, illustration and furniture. I was born and raised in La Spezia, where I still live and work today and I trained through artistic studies between Carrara, where I attended the Art School and the Academy of Fine Arts, and Florence, the city where I graduated in graphics and photography . As for the latter, I participated in several workshops held by world-renowned photographers such as Franco Fontana and Lucien Clergue. I attended, with the achievement of relevant diplomas, various courses of study ranging from editorial graphics to NLP. I have worked for more than twenty years as Art Director at well-known advertising agencies in the country, dedicating myself side by side to art, my great passion since childhood. I have always moved in the field of painting and graphics but in recent years my creative efforts have been dedicated above all to photography. I have participated in various exhibitions and artistic events both national and international- My last important participation is in 2017 in the exhibition "As long as the boat goes", which took place within the off circuit of the VENICE ART BIENNALE. In truth I cannot consider myself just a photographer in the strict sense of the term, I would rather define myself as a visual artist as I use photography as a canvas on which to create what I love to define "photographic paintings" using various digital techniques. In my works I definitely express my artistic-pictorial culture as I go in search of solutions that have more to do with painting than with photography, even if the medium I use is the camera. Many of my works refer to the works of surrealist painters, to some authors of pop art but also to artists of the more distant past, in particular Caravaggio. I create images at the limits of the dream, travel through places of lights and shadows, to a distant world, interpenetrations between the human being and nature that are welded in a single form and energy, are visionary images of an unusual world but non-alien, a world on the edge of reality that we could find around the corner from home, a world that goes beyond appearance. WHEN I LOOK AT THE HUMAN BEING AND THE NATURE I TRY TO GET THE DEEP ENERGY AND THE MAGIC AND WHAT I REPRESENT IS THE ESSENCE. Another point of my research can be found in the concept of duality, also referring to the eternal struggle between good and evil, between what we are and what we would like to be, to the often not easy relationship between body and soul, between individual and society.
Finally I would say that my desire is that the works I created are truly and totally mine, in fact for the realization of my photographic works I take care, as well as digital processing, of the set design and location and very often I also play the role of model , as can be seen from the many self-portraits that I have made and still realize.
